Haihtuv Tallinn (Disappearing Tallinn)

project
A new production by VAT Theatre and the last of the PlayOn! projects - a web application that the audience uses during a hike in the first act, which will then automatically be assembled into an art movie, forming part of the second act.
Team & Role
Director, dramaturg, co-author, 4 actors, theatre support team and me.
I created the design and was responsible for the entire full-stack app's architecture and development.

Outcome
The app was used throughout 8 performances by 4 actors and up to 25 audience members. The recorded video clips were sent to a server and combined into a film shown in the second act.
Haihtuv Tallinn was about disappearing parts of the city, about urban wastelands.
